Document Checklist
Before You Travel
All pets travelling from the UK to the EU must have the correct documentation. We can guide you through the process, but you are responsible for ensuring your pet's paperwork is complete.
EU Pet Passports No Longer Valid
From April 2026, EU pet passports issued to UK residents are no longer valid for travel. You will need an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) instead, issued within 10 days of travel.
Tapeworm Treatment Required
Dogs returning to the UK must have tapeworm treatment administered by a vet between 24 and 120 hours before entry. This must be recorded in the AHC.
