All pets travelling from the UK to the EU must have the correct documentation. We can guide you through the process, but you are responsible for ensuring your pet's paperwork is complete.
Pet travel documents depend on where you live
For residents of England, Scotland or Wales travelling to the EU, GOV.UK says an EU pet passport cannot be used to enter the EU; obtain an Animal Health Certificate (AHC). A valid EU Pet Passport may be used where the traveller and pet are eligible under the destination rules. Check the current official guidance before travel.
Tapeworm Treatment Required
Dogs returning to Great Britain from routes where treatment is required need a vet-administered treatment effective against Echinococcus multilocularis and containing praziquantel (or an effective equivalent) no less than 24 hours and no more than 120 hours before entry. The vet must record the product, date, time, stamp and signature in the pet passport or health certificate. Direct arrivals from Finland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Malta or Norway are exempt.

After arrival at Coquelles near Calais, follow border and port instructions and allow time for any official checks. The itinerary includes realistic allowances beyond the 35-minute rail crossing; do not treat that crossing time as the full journey duration.
From Calais/Coquelles, continue by road to the booked European destination. The route and estimated driving time are planned around the destination, traffic, required driver rest, and pet welfare stops. Your party and pets stay in the same private cabin throughout, except when an official check or safety protocol requires otherwise.
